The Síbín Orchestra

The Síbín Orchestra are named after Seamus Begley’s infamous Síbín in Baile na bPoc, West Kerry. West Kerry is renowned for its rich tradition of music and song and the orchestra is comprised of some the folk world’s finest, all of whom reside in the Kingdom.

The Síbín Orchestra are Seamus Begley, Méabh Ní Bheaglaoich, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh, Éilís Kennedy, Pauline Scanlon, Laura Kerr, Donogh Hennessy, and Jeremy Spencer & Gerry O’Beirne.

This group of neighbours and friends have a wealth of experience amongst them, with members having played in bands such as Patrick Street, Danú, Lumiere, Lúnasa, Ensemble Ériu and many many more. This event has been commissioned to bring their firepower together for a night of lunacy at Killarney Folk Festival, West Kerry style!
